Since 1959 the two-day gathering (owned by the World Design Organization) has taken place every two years, bringing together the international design community and thought leaders from business, research and education to discuss and debate design issues of global importance.
In the Barbican Conservatory a participatory session led by the Royal Designers for Industry; it is not a talk, but an energising exchange that invites attendees to explore what it means to design not just for the planet, but with it. At the heart of the session is a conversation about entanglement: the interconnectedness of people, practices and the living world.
Mark, alongside other Royal Designers, will be asking how design can help us remember that we are nature, and how embracing that truth might reshape our practice.
