The design for the CF Toronto Eaton Centre Bridge is a unique response to the contrasting architectural language of the two buildings it links.

A very soft line of light to the deck stimulates movement without competing with the architectural forms.”

Carefully integrated lighting in the bridge deck picks up the edges of the vertical bronze cladding panels that fan out from the Hudson’s Bay heritage building entrance. The sense of rotation is further enhanced by light that picks up the profile edges of the twisting fins.

The exterior overhanging the sidewalk is a backlit soffit, illuminated specifically to contribute to a positive experience for pedestrians passing under the bridge at street level.
