Light + Exhibitions

We add value to the visitor experience, reinforcing the narrative, providing focus and revealing detail. We use light to support wayfinding providing greater accessibility.

Visual of Feel the Sound Exhibition, Barbican Centre, London, UK

Darkness grounds the exhibition, with light used minimally to support safe navigation and deepen multisensory focus. Interstitial zones use cool white light as a sensory "palette cleanser," resetting perception between installations. Controlled, intentional lighting frames tactile and auditory interactions, enhancing emotional engagement without visual distraction.

Visual of The Macallan Distillery and Visitor Experience, Speyside, UK

Light shapes a seamless narrative between whisky, brand, and architecture, inspired by the surrounding Speyside landscape. Layered and choreographed lighting reveals the drama of the production process while enriching the visitor journey. A dynamic finale in the ‘Cave Privée’ uses coloured light to create a magical, immersive whisky experience.

A gradient of light and shadow guides visitors through the exhibition, enhancing orientation and emotional engagement. Minimal artificial lighting and careful control of light trespass support immersive digital works and energy efficiency. Tonal wall shifts and strategic emphasis replace brightness, offering a low-energy yet impactful visual journey.
