‘The Third Age of Light’ imagines a future London where darkness is purposeful and shared, not simply eliminated. Speculative concepts explore autonomous, responsive lighting via micro-bots that adapt to human activity. The exhibition challenges the 24/7 cityscape, proposing a skyline where light use reflects evolving work and lifestyle patterns.
An immersive exhibition created entirely from light explored its architectural potential through themes like shadow, colour, and form. State-of-the-art lighting technology delivered a dynamic, 12-minute looping visual experience to provoke curiosity and discussion. Accompanied by a richly illustrated book, the project expanded understanding of light in architecture beyond specific projects.
