Speirs Major

My journey into design started at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology in India, where I studied Public Space Design. In 2021, I moved to London to deepen my understanding of Interior and Spatial Design, earning a Diploma and Master’s from the University of the Arts London. It was through my love of photography and a fascination with the way light shapes spaces—both physically and emotionally—that I found my way into lighting design.

I joined Speirs Major Light Architecture in 2024 as an Assistant Designer and have since worked on diverse projects, from a major workplace development in New York and London to a hospitality project in Dubai and a retail concept in China. I love the creative freedom and collaborative energy here—it allows me to balance aesthetics with functionality in a meaningful way.

Beyond design, I have a deep appreciation for language and culture, and I’m fluent in eight languages, including English, Hindi, and Sanskrit.
